This policy explains what personal data the website m-tech-consulting.ch collects, why, and what your rights are, under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

What data is collected, and why
Contact and quote forms
When you request a quote or a call back, you send your name, your email and, depending on the form, your phone number, your company and a description of your project. This information is sent to me by email so I can answer your request and prepare an offer. The website does not store it in any database.
Project scoping assistant
The assistant asks a few questions about your project. Your answers are sent to the artificial intelligence service Anthropic (United States), which writes the next questions and the final summary. The website does not keep the conversation. If you choose to send me the summary, it reaches me by email like a contact form. Please do not enter sensitive data (health, third-party data, passwords…).
Visit statistics
The website measures its audience with Umami, installed on my own server in Switzerland. Umami uses no cookies and does not keep your IP address: it records the pages viewed, the referring page, the type of device and browser, and the country. These statistics cannot identify you.
Security
To check that a submission comes from a person and not a bot, the forms and the assistant useCloudflare Turnstile. When a form opens, Cloudflare analyses technical signals from your browser (IP address, browser type); it sets no cookie and only shows a checkbox when in doubt.
To block abusive submissions, your IP address is kept in memory for at most one hour when you send a form or use the assistant. Like any web server, the hosting may also keep technical logs (IP address, requested page, date) for a limited period.
No cookies
The website sets no cookies and uses no advertising tools. Fonts are served from our own server, with no call to Google.
Who receives your data
- Infomaniak Network SA (Switzerland): website and email hosting.
- Anthropic, PBC (United States): only if you use the scoping assistant.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): bot check when a form opens.
Your data is never sold or used for advertising.
Transfer abroad
Two services based in the United States receive data, and only when you open a form or the assistant: Cloudflare, for the bot check (technical data from your browser), and Anthropic, if you use the scoping assistant (your answers). The content of messages sent through the forms stays in Switzerland.
Retention
Emails received through the forms are kept while your request is handled, then for at most two years without follow-up from you. If you become a client, the data needed for invoicing is kept for ten years, as required by law.
External links
The LinkedIn and WhatsApp buttons open those services, which apply their own privacy policies. No data is sent to them until you click.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data by writing to damien@m-tech-consulting.ch. I reply within 30 days. You can also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes
This policy may change as the website evolves. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
